Selection Analysis
Pick #42
2018 Draft Comments
April 26, 2018

42   Miami
Mike Gesicki
Penn State
TE

Ht/Wt: 6'6"  252

There seemed to be a lot of debate on who the best tight end in this class is, and Mike Gesicki's name was certainly a part of the discussion. It's hard to debate that Gesicki isn't the most athletic tight end of this group, though. He absolutely lit up the NFL Scouting Combine. With his 6'6" height and 41" vertical jump, he should make a lot of noise in the red zone. After passing on all of the RD1 quarterbacks, and now Mason Rudolph in RD2, Ryan Tannehill is still QB1 in Miami and he has an exciting new tight end that can help him keep his job beyond 2018.

Grade: B+
