Selection Analysis
Pick #44
2018 Draft Comments
April 26, 2018

44   San Francisco
Dante Pettis
Washington
WRF

Ht/Wt: 6'1"  185

After using 6 of their 10 picks on defense last year the Niners are now 2-for-2 on the offensive side of the ball in 2018. While it meant passing on talented defenders like Josh Jackson and Lorenzo Carter, Dante Pettis is actually a strong fit for the offense. It's hard to argue with Lynch and Shanahan's track record when it comes to WRs getting instant production from Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor and even Bourne. Pettis is an incredible route-runner with ankle-breaking stop/start ability that also made him one of college football's best return men. Pettis was at his best when he played next to speedster John Ross, so here's hoping he can replicate that success in the NFL as Marquise Goodwin's long-term running mate.
