Selection Analysis
Pick #61
2018 Draft Comments
April 26, 2018

61   Jacksonville
D.J. Chark
LSU
WRF

Ht/Wt: 6'3"  187

After going the very Coughlin-esque route of bypassing the skill positions in favor of an ultra-athletic pass rusher, Taven Bryan, in RD1 the Jags address the need at WR with LSU's DJ Chark in RD2. Chark had trouble getting on the field his first two seasons at LSU, but when he finally did he was dynamic in all phases of the game. In addition to lining up at all 3 WR positions, and averaging more than 20 yards per catch, Chark also showed off his agility and vision as a runner on jet sweeps and as a returner and gunner on special teams. Chark's stock has been on the rise since he dominated the Combine and Senior Bowl. He should quickly emerge as a favorite target (especially on those deep passes) for Blake Bortles in Jacksonville.
